Buna ziua from Iasi! It was a beautiful day here, a perfect October afternoon with a high of maybe 70. I had a late lunch this afternoon in a restaurant in one of the parks on the hill of Copou: chicken kiev and an incredibly good ciorba de vacuta, which is a brothy beef and vegetable soup. Meanwhile the breeze blew and the park was quiet but for the buckeyes falling everywhere.

Also today I met with a group from alternative sociale ong and met the president of the iasi judges' association. And, of course, I bought more clothes since Air France's baggage handlers are still on strike.

Tomorrow: headed to Bucharest for the weekend!
